My first solo work is a romantic suspense novel tentatively titled Catherwood House:
Willow was 7 years old when the 1st of the Blood Haven movies was filmed at her family’s home and relentless fan attention drove them to abandon the property. 15 years later, she has inherited the house and needs money badly enough to let the revival chapter of the horror franchise come back to where it all began. Cole Arneson is an ex-cop with a flunked K-9 dog named Lou. Cole has finally found his next act in life with a private security firm. His first job in charge is to protect a movie set famous for having over the top fans; everything is complicated by the fact that the Hollywood types like the media attention that comes with incidents on set and the homeowner wants the show to go on no matter what so that she will get paid. Cole tries to keep things under control, but he becomes sure that someone is killing for love connected to the production, but it’s not a celebrity the killer is obsessed with; it’s the house that calls out to a twisted mind and insists on sacrifice.
